Magnesium Sulphate (Epsom Salt)

Magnesium Sulphate is highly soluble in water. The anhydrous form is strongly hygroscopic, and can be used as a desiccant.

It is supplied in the packing of 50 kg Polypropylene bags, having HDPE liner in bags. The product is liable to absorb moisture, so it should be kept away from rain or damp. Protect against physical damage.

Common uses of Magnesium Sulphate are as given below:

  • One of its major uses is in agriculture and gardening where it is used as a fertilizer.
  • Used for grass-making, fertilizer, porcelain, paint, matches, and fireproofs materials.
  • As a filler in leather-making industry for increasing heat endurance performance.
  • As well as in paper pulp industry, rayon and silk industry.
  • It is able to apply in dryer and dehydrating agent, apply in printing of thin cotton cloth, silk, as weighting agent for cotton silk.

Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and breathing dust. Harmful if swallowed, causes irritation to skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. May cause allergic skin or respiratory reactions. Remove the victim to fresh air; if breathing is difficult. Use safety goggles and rubber gloves
