It is privilege for me to lead a team of high professionals in various disciplines possessing rich experience and dedication as ‘One Team One Goal’. I can say with every evidence that we have bright future ahead, despite the tough economic environments in specified sectors faced by the national economy.

Had it not been increase in the utility costs particularly the electricity prices and gas curtailments, the Company could have made substantial progress leading to profitability and strengthening the national economy. All in all, we are well on our road to progress.

Al-Hamdo Lillah:  We are now capable to produce 27 MW Power which can meet some of our energy requirements and also provides us flexibility in supply source options. Similarly, Balancing, Modernization & Replacement (BMR) of our Caustic Soda M-II Plant is in progress while our Solidification Plant CSP-IV having 100 MT/Day capacity is near its completion. Despite all odds, all these achievements are a milestone in the Company’s history and significant way forward towards expansion and diversification.

Going forward it is important to remain steadfast and focused in order to achieve the 2009 business objectives, an important step in our journey to realize the Vision 2015. Remember, the challenges in the market place are immense and competitive pressures are open to increase further. It is essential that we work together, stick to our values and continue to demonstrate agility to meet the global challenges through innovation and creativity.

Keeping in view the current tough economic scenario, my advice to everybody at Company is to adopt austerity measures, cut down the expenses and cost of doing business should be reduced.

The Company realizing its Social Corporate Responsibility (SCR) has recently established Sitara Institute of Management & Technology (SIMT) under Aziz Fatima Trust to impart quality training in various technical trades. The Institute’s First Phase relating to Skills Training has started in the end of November 2009 while, Diploma courses will be launched in the second half of 2010.

Developing capacity of our workforce is the prime objective of our Company and for this purposes continuous training is being imparted to all cadres through internal and external courses/workshops and seminars.

With best wishes for happiness, progress and prosperity to everyone.
